New Beginnings: Our 2026 Canadian Mission Launch

The new year has begun, and with it comes a renewed sense of purpose and excitement at the New Roots Nova Foundation. We're thrilled to share our plans for 2026, our first year of operations dedicated to helping newcomers succeed in Canada.

Building on our vision, our focus for 2026 is centered around three key pillars: expanding our Canadian language and career training programs, fostering deep community integration, and providing robust settlement support for our first newcomer families in Canada.

New Initiatives on the Horizon

We are excited to announce the launch of two major new programs designed to address the evolving needs of the Canadian newcomer community:

• The "Career Launchpad Canada" Program: An initiative providing industry-specific mentorship, advanced resume workshops, and mock interviews with hiring managers from our Canadian corporate partners.
• The "Community Connectors" Project: A volunteer-led project that pairs newcomer families with local Canadian families for six months to build genuine friendships and a true sense of belonging.

These programs were developed in direct response to interviews and surveys conducted with our first Canadian newcomer contacts. They represent our commitment to listening and adapting to the unique challenges of settling in Canada.
